Little did I know she would change my life forever.\nI have suffered from depression on and off my whole life. Choosing not to take prescription drugs I found my yoga mat. So much Healing has taken place on my mat and I am forever grateful for it. \nDespite major transformation on and off my mat out of the blue and for no reason at all\, I found myself in one of the darkest places I had been in in my entire life. If you have ever experienced depression you might understand what I’m talking about. This cloud hung over me for 6 straight months. I felt completely hopeless and depleted\, crying myself to sleep day and night praying that I would not have to face another day. \nI know this is not something that everyone likes to hear about\, but I am sharing my story because I want people to know that they are not alone. There are resources out there and people who care. We are all in this together\, we all want to be free of suffering\, so let’s support and lift each other up and be a light for those that are stuck in the dark. \nOne day when I was mindlessly scrolling FB I came across a picture of 3 sweet puppies. \nSomething in me lit up and I had to go meet them. When I arrived Kala came right up to me and started chewing on my shoelace ( not much has changed;) she didn’t leave my side the entire time I was there. Almost two years later she is still at my side through all my ups and downs. Her unconditional love has given me the opportunity to change my perspective in so many ways. \nEven though I rescued her\, she is truly the one who rescued me.
